Zombie Vs Unicorn Challenge at vvB32 Reads

I've seen this event around but didn't get into it. I was just not sucked in by what I saw so far. Being not a horror fan probably played a big role there. Then I came across titania86's zombie review & giveaway of HANDLING THE UNDEAD by John Ajvide Lindqvist over at Fishmuffins of Doom. Now that caught my interest! It seems like John Ajvide Lindqvist has re-invented the zombie genre :)

So here I am rooting for the zombies... but not just any zombie! John Ajvide Lindqvist's zombie. The non-harming zombie in a physical way but strikes a strong dilemma with human emotions and how we deal with loss and the need for closure. I dubbed this the emotional/mental zombie. Because that is where these zombies eats us.

Just to make it clear, this post is a pro-Team Zombie for the Zombie vs Unicorn Challenge over at vvB32 Reads. Just in case I haven't made it clear with my above rant.

    I'm so glad you've joined Team Zombie! As captain, I would like to officially welcome you. If you like Handling the Undead, I would also suggest Lindqvist's other novel, Let the Right One In, which is a very different vampire novel.

    @ M.A.D.: Team Zombie's also style! People think that unicorns are stylish and pretty, but I find rotting silk to be so much better! Who wants to be on a team whose uniforms look like something from Fancy Nancy?
